FetchDave for Windows

FetchDave is a simple Windows program designed to let you enjoy Late Show with David Letterman Top Ten Lists tm whenever you have the urge.

FetchDave maintains a database (built by retrieving lists from the CBS Web Site) of Top Ten Lists ordered by date. You can view lists in random order by clicking the Random button or wander the list database using the horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the FetchDave window.

If you have an Internet connection, you can freshen your FetchDave database with the Update button. This button causes FetchDave to check the CBS web sites for new lists and add any it finds to your database.

Want to see a Top Ten List every time you start up your machine? Add FetchDave to your Startup group. The program includes command line options that will cause it to run only once per day, or to close automatically after a preset time has elapsed. Consult the help page for more information.

Download

Download FetchDave over HTTP Standard installer via HTTP. You can launch this setup program directly from the link or save it to your hard disk and run it to install FetchDave. Includes all the lists I have between 5 January 1993 and 23 September 2002.

FetchDaveSetup.exe V1.11, 1,286KB, 23 September 2002

FTP
Download FetchDave EXE only over HTTP Version 1.11 Upgrade. This corrects a problem with the Update function that appeared during the summer of 2002 when CBS changed the format of the Top Ten web site. If the Update function has stopped working in your copy of FetchDave, just download this ZIP file and use the EXE file inside to replace your existing copy of FetchDave.exe.
